This one also throws in more gory kills than did the previous scene, and that is another reason I liked the first one better. Other than that they are not really all that related story wise. The only thing the two have in common is the look of the monster and the strange green light. As for this one, you most certainly do not need to watch the first film as the two films seem a bit unconnected. This one only has one such scene and the girls are not nearly as cute as the ones from the previous film. I thought the previous film was pretty good, kind of moved slowly in places however it contained a few tentacle scenes and very cute Japanese girls.
